Office Visits and Patient Safety

As we all begin to think about re-emerging more fully into our lives, we want to express our gratitude to all our patients for their patience and loyalty during the COVID-19 crisis. Throughout this life-altering experience, we have seen so many examples of humanity, grace and community and, with this in mind, we find the energy to move forward to create our new normal for Ob/Gyn care - together.

Our current plan is to safely open our offices more fully in the coming weeks. During this crisis, we have been limiting care to telemedicine visits and office visits for obstetrical patients and urgent problems. Over the next few weeks, we will cautiously begin to see more patients in most of our locations across the valley.

Having you feel safe is our first order of business – and we know it’s yours too. You can expect that, if you visit in person, our offices will be clean, our staff and patients will be wearing protective equipment, and we will have the processes in place to ensure proper social distancing while you wait. In addition, we will continue to provide and recommend telemedicine visits for any that can effectively be handled in that way.

As always, we are devoted to helping each patient stay on track with their health care. To accommodate this, we will be opening our schedules possibly offering special hours to ensure that we attend to every patient who needs us. If, during the isolation period, you missed an appointment with us, you will likely receive a call from your physician’s office, or you may also call us to reschedule. Please use our website at: www.aoafamily.com to find continued updates and find your provider’s location hours and contact info or, to request an appointment.

Collectively, you are the reason we became Ob/Gyns and why we seek to provide the high standard of care that Arizona OB/GYN Affiliates (AOA) is known for. We have missed you and we look forward to seeing you all soon.  Please be patient as we try to maneuver through this new normal to accommodate your needs.

Warm wishes for your continued health,

Michael Urig, MD
